HF Propagation

1 post in this topic

Hey all. Below is a link I find usefull in determining what the HF bands are like and whether I should waste my time or not!

http://www.sws.bom.gov.au/HF_Systems

Having said that, sometimes you just never know, especially when it comes to Sporadic E propagation! Sometimes it does just pay to have a quick flick across 10m and 6m and see if you can hear some of the CW beacons.

But even then, sometimes when I have heard none, there is still that odd chance of a quick popup on 28.490Mhz. Some days it is just about being in the right place at the right time and listening!

Cheers all, and happy propagation! :-)
